Stray bullet wounds tofu vendor<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A tofu vendor was shot in the leg while passing
\nalong Jl. Rempang Block C in Jati Makmur naval housing complex,
\nPondok Gede, Bekas, on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Adang, the 32-year-old vendor, was immediately taken to Bekasi
\nGeneral Hospital by local resident Komarudin.<\/p>\n
Komar told journalists at the hospital emergency unit that
\nAdang was selling tofu in the complex when he felt a sudden pain
\nin his left calf.<\/p>\n
\"When he stopped to see what was causing the pain in his calf,
\nhe found that it was bleeding,\" Komar said.<\/p>\n
Komar said a vegetable vendor named Endang shouted when he saw
\nAdang's bleeding left calf, piquing the complex residents'
\ncuriosity.<\/p>\n
\"But the Bekasi General Hospital cannot remove the bullet from
\nAdang's leg because there is no surgical doctor present to
\nperform such an operation,\" he said.<\/p>\n
According to Komar, the hospital could only give first aid and
\nsaid that the bullet could probably be removed on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Jati Asih Police substation was surprised when contacted by
\nThe Jakarta Post about the incident.<\/p>\n
Comr. YS Muryono said the police had yet to receive a report
