        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 A number of children travelling home for the holidays at\nKampung Rambutan Terminal in East Jakarta were entertained by\nstorytellers on Friday as they waited for their bus departures to their\nhome villages.<\/p>\n<p>The storytelling activity was organised by the Indonesian Child\nProtection Commission (KPAI) in the terminal\u2019s automatic ticketing\nmachine area and became one of the activities that attracted the\nattention of families awaiting departure.<\/p>\n<p>The activity was led by Budi, a storyteller from the KPAI team. He\ninvited children at the terminal to gather in front of the activity area\nbefore beginning the storytelling session.<\/p>\n<p>Before starting the story, children were invited to participate in\nmovement games through songs to break the ice. A number of children in\nthe terminal area came forward to participate in the activity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho has ever seen the sea? What is in the sea?\u201d Budi asked the\nchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Several children then mentioned various sea creatures such as fish,\nsharks, and octopuses.<\/p>\n<p>Through the story, the storyteller also encouraged children to\nunderstand the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness,\nincluding protecting Indonesian seas from rubbish.<\/p>\n<p>The storyteller also used hand puppets as a medium to convey the\nstory, making it more engaging for the children present.<\/p>\n<p>This storytelling activity was part of an effort to provide a\nchild-friendly space in the terminal area during the peak holiday\nmigration period.<\/p>\n<p>By Friday, Kampung Rambutan Terminal was already becoming crowded\nwith holiday travellers. Several prospective passengers were seen\nspending time resting, chatting with family members, or using their\nmobile phones.<\/p>\n<p>They filled the terminal\u2019s waiting area whilst carrying various\nbelongings such as suitcases, backpacks, and boxes containing travel\nnecessities.<\/p>\n<p>Some passengers appeared to sit in waiting chairs whilst awaiting the\nscheduled departure of intercity buses heading to various areas on Java\nIsland such as Tasikmalaya, Garut, and Central Java regions.<\/p>",
