        "content": "<p>Steady Safe acquires firms<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): PT Steady Safe, a publicly listed transportation<br>\ncompany, has expanded its business by taking over majority shares<br>\nin two taxi companies.<\/p>\n<p>Steady Safe&apos;s vice president, Datin R. Nor, said here<br>\nyesterday that her company signed agreements on the share<br>\ntakeover early this month.<\/p>\n<p>The two taxi firms are PT Sembada Permai Prakarsa Sejati and<br>\nPT Sonnypong Yatim, both of which operate 1,031 cabs in the<br>\nJakarta greater area.<\/p>\n<p>She refused to comment on the value of the takeover and the<br>\nportions of the shares acquired.<\/p>\n<p>Steady Safe owns and operates four taxicab armadas under the<br>\nname of Steady Safe, Spirit, Transit and Swadharma, with a total<br>\nfleet of 1,650 cabs.
