        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 The State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi stated that\nthe government is conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the national\ncivil service design and structure as part of efforts to strengthen the\nimplementation of President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s priority programmes.<\/p>\n<p>The State Secretary said this measure was a follow-up to directives\nissued by the President during a limited meeting held on Sunday, 8\nMarch. All ministries have been tasked with making parallel improvements\nto their systems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn accordance with the President\u2019s guidance, we are all asked to\nconduct a comprehensive evaluation of our civil service design and\nstructure. In parallel, we are all tasked with making improvements,\nconducting exercises, and staffing arrangements to implement priority\nprogrammes,\u201d said Prasetyo following a coordination meeting at the\nMinistry of Defence office in Jakarta on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the evaluation is being conducted across ministries\nand institutions, involving various stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>According to Prasetyo, the evaluation covers not only the number of\ncivil servants but also composition, distribution, and alignment of\nexpertise with government priority programmes.<\/p>\n<p>In the education sector, the government has requested the Minister of\nPrimary and Secondary Education to redesign the requirements for\nteaching personnel, including distribution and subjects needed going\nforward.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in the healthcare sector, the government highlighted\ncontinued shortages of medical personnel in various regions,\nparticularly in disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost areas (3T).<\/p>\n<p>Of approximately 10,000 health centres across Indonesia, around 4,000\nstill lack doctors or dentists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe request continued identification of our civil service design at\nthe national level,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Attending the coordination meeting were, among others, the Minister\nof Interior Tito Karnavian, the Minister of Higher Education, Science\nand Technology Brian Yuliarto, the Minister of Marine Affairs and\nFisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, and the Minister of State Apparatus\nEmpowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini, Deputy Minister of\nCooperatives Farida Farichah, and Deputy Minister of Defence Donny\nErmawan.<\/p>",
