PT Telkom Satelit Indonesia (Telkomsat) has partnered with a South\nKorean space technology company, Nara Space, to develop Earth\nObservation technology in Indonesia. The collaboration was marked by the\nsigning of a Partnership Agreement in Jakarta on Tuesday (12\/5).<\/p>\n
The signing ceremony was attended by Telkomsat\u2019s Director of\nDevelopment, Anggoro Kurnianto Widiawan, and Nara Space\u2019s VP of Business\nDevelopment, Minsik Kim.<\/p>\n
This collaboration aims to expand global cooperation in the field of\nspace technology and promote the development of satellite-based Earth\nobservation technology.<\/p>\n
Telkomsat\u2019s Director of Development, Anggoro Kurnianto Widiawan, said\nthat the two companies would work together in technology development and\nexplore market opportunities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough this collaboration, Telkomsat and Nara Space will\ncollaborate in various areas, including research and development of\nsatellite-based Earth observation technology, exploration of market\nopportunities, and joint use cases,\u201d said Anggoro in a statement on\nFriday (15\/5).<\/p>\n
Nara Space is a space technology company that focuses on the\ndevelopment of Earth Observation satellites and data analytics. The\ncompany also has end-to-end capabilities, including the provision of\nsatellite data-based analytics services.<\/p>\n
This collaboration is expected to be the initial foundation in\nbuilding sustainable cooperation to meet the needs of data and satellite\nimagery analysis services in various sectors in Indonesia, ranging from\ngovernment to industry and disaster management.<\/p>\n
In addition, the collaboration is also aimed at supporting the\ndevelopment of an ecosystem of infrastructure and cross-sector data\nintegration. Earth Observation technology is considered to have a\nstrategic role in regional monitoring, disaster mitigation, natural\nresource management, and accelerating national digital\ntransformation.<\/p>\n
Telkomsat stated that it will continue to expand global\ncollaborations to bring satellite-based technology innovations that can\nprovide added value for customers, industry, and society.
