        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2014 The Domestic Policy Strategic Agency (BSKDN) of the\nMinistry of Internal Affairs held a Workshop on Strengthening Talent\nManagement for State Civil Servants (ASN) as part of strategic efforts\nto strengthen institutional capacity through more professional, planned,\nand merit-based management of government personnel in Jakarta on Monday,\n9 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Secretary of BSKDN Noudy R.P. Tendean, in his opening remarks,\nexpressed appreciation to speakers who shared understanding regarding\nthe strengthening of merit systems in civil service management.\nAccording to him, this activity represented an important momentum for\nstrengthening the quality of human resources within BSKDN.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe organisation of this workshop is part of strategic efforts to\nstrengthen BSKDN\u2019s institutional capacity through more professional,\nplanned, and merit-based human resource management for government\npersonnel,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Further, he explained that in the current era of modern bureaucracy,\nstrengthening talent management for state civil servants has become one\nof the important pillars in supporting the realisation of a\nprofessional, adaptive, competent, and competitive bureaucracy. This\nalso aligns with the civil service reform agenda that has been ongoing\nsince the 1998 reformation era.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the application of talent management is necessary\nto ensure that every civil servant with the best potential and\ncompetence can be prepared and developed optimally to occupy strategic\npositions within the organisation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery civil servant possesses potential and competence that can then\nbe prepared and developed optimally to occupy strategic positions within\nthe organisation. That is the importance of talent management,\u201d he\naffirmed.<\/p>",
