Starwood launches press club<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): U.S-based international hotel chain Starwood
\nHotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc launched on Thursday a
\ncomplimentary international press club, called Starwood Press
\nClub, for accredited journalists in the Asia-Pacific region.<\/p>\n
The hotel chain, which operates nine hotels and resorts under
\nthe Sheraton name in Indonesia, said membership of the club is
\nvalid for one year. Members can join either by direct invitation
\nor via an introduction from another club member.<\/p>\n
\"Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide understands the important
\nrole of mass media which has already helped with publicity of its
\nhotels throughout the world,\" the hotel chain said.<\/p>\n
Club members are eligible for a 50 percent discount on
\ncorporate room rates and a 25 percent discount at restaurants and
\nbars at over 50 Starwood hotels and resorts in the Asia-Pacific
\narea.<\/p>\n
Starwood operates more than 650 hotels and resorts in more
\nthan 73 countries, under the names Sheraton, Westin, Four Points,
