'Star' beams down Idol Night<\/p>\n
StarWorld and Indovision hosted Idol Night as part of a loyalty
\nprogram for their Indonesian subscribers and to bring StarWorld's
\nSMS-interactive Asia Votes program directly to the capital. About
\n100 cable TV subscribers and winners of an Idol Night quiz run in
\nselect Indonesian newspapers, including The Jakarta Post,
\nattended the event on April 20, which was also open to the dining
\npublic. The evening included an Idol-esque singing competition --
\ncomplete with a pre-event screening for the five finalists.
\nJurors Iris Fung of Star Group, Yoris Sebastian of Hard Rock
\nCafe, Rondang Silalahi and Posma Tobing of Indovision, along with
\nformer Indonesian Idol Lucky Octavian, voted Tajudding Ismail the
\nIdol Night winner with his be-bopping rendition of La Bamba --
\nand he took home the grand prize, an iPod Shuffle. Lucky,
\nhowever, proved what it takes to reign an Idol with his resonant
\nperformance of I Write the Song and his favorite, Copacabana.
\nHard Rock Cafe Jakarta provided the venue, \"because it's all
