        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com \u2014 Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has\nconfirmed that the deadline for submitting the Annual Income Tax Return\n(SPT PPh) for individual taxpayers (WP OP) will be extended until 30\nApril 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the deadline for individual taxpayers\u2019 SPT submissions\nwas set only until 31 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Purbaya stated that this extension aligns the individual taxpayers\u2019\nSPT reporting deadline with that of corporate taxpayers, who also have a\nsubmission deadline until the end of April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The extension of the reporting deadline is being implemented amid\nreporting achievements that remain below target. To date, the number of\nSPT submissions recorded is only around 59.1 percent of the 15 million\nSPT target.<\/p>\n<p>In detail, SPT submissions from individual employee taxpayers reached\n7,826,341 SPT. Meanwhile, individual non-employee taxpayers recorded\n863,272 SPT submissions.<\/p>\n<p>From the corporate taxpayer side, submissions in rupiah denomination\ntotalled 183,583 SPT. For entities using US dollar denomination, the\nnumber of submissions was 138 SPT.<\/p>\n<p>For this category, the number of submissions reached 1,549 SPT for\nentities in rupiah denomination and 21 SPT for those in US dollar\ndenomination.<\/p>\n<p>The extension of the SPT reporting deadline is expected to provide\nadditional space for taxpayers to fulfil their tax obligations. This is\nalso related to various ongoing changes in the tax administration\nsystem.<\/p>\n<p>The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance has\nrecorded significant progress in activating accounts in the new tax\nadministration system, Coretax.<\/p>\n<p>From that total, 15,677,209 came from individual taxpayers.\nMeanwhile, the number of corporate taxpayers who have activated Coretax\naccounts is recorded at 955,508 taxpayers.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to individual and corporate taxpayers, Coretax account\nactivations have also been carried out by government agencies. DJP\nrecorded 90,411 government agency taxpayers who have activated accounts\nin the system.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, there are also Electronic System-Based Traders\n(PMSE) taxpayers who have activated Coretax accounts. The number\nrecorded is 226 PMSE taxpayers.<\/p>",
