        "content": "<p>The low-cost airline Spring Airlines is launching direct flights\nconnecting Jakarta to Guangzhou, China, from Soekarno-Hatta\nInternational Airport in Tangerang, Banten, to Guangzhou Baiyun\nInternational Airport, starting 16 June 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Teddy Rezadiansyah, President Director of Continental Travel Service\nIndonesia and Chairman of Yeesem Angkasa Indonesia, stated in Tangerang\non Friday that all licensing, legality, and operational and commercial\nreadiness processes have been completed. His firm has been officially\nappointed by Spring Airlines to represent the airline in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe appointment has also received certification and approval from\nthe Ministry of Transport,\u201d Teddy said in his statement.<\/p>\n<p>Teddy noted that Spring Airlines is one of China\u2019s low-cost carriers,\noffering competitive fares to support passenger mobility between\nIndonesia and China. He expressed optimism that the Indonesian market\nwill respond positively to the airline\u2019s presence. Should demand\ncontinue to rise, the airline plans to increase flight frequencies to\ndaily service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the market welcomes us well, we will increase flight frequency to\ndaily and may expand to other cities in Indonesia travelling to China\nand vice versa,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Pritanto Ade Saputro, Head of the Spring Airlines Representative\nOffice in Indonesia, added that in the initial phase, Spring Airlines\nwill operate two routes from Jakarta: Jakarta-Guangzhou (CGK-CAN) at\n21:10 WIB and Jakarta-Shenzhen (CGK-SZX) at 19:20 WIB. The inaugural\nflights will utilise Airbus A320 aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>For the Jakarta-Guangzhou route, flights are scheduled to operate\nthree times a week, specifically on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays,\nwhile the Jakarta-Shenzhen route will operate on Wednesdays and\nSaturdays.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe opening of these new routes is expected to strengthen air\nconnectivity between Indonesia and China, while simultaneously\nsupporting the growth of the tourism, business, and trade sectors in\nboth countries,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
