        "content": "<p>S'pore to study RP probe findings<\/p>\n<p>SINGAPORE (Reuter): Singapore said yesterday it would study<br>\nthe findings of a Philippine inquiry board that has demanded the<br>\nreopening of a double-murder case for which Filipina maid Flor<br>\nContemplacion was hanged in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have not received yet a copy of the committee's report nor<br>\nhave we been informed by the Philippine government of the<br>\ncommittee's findings,\" a Foreign Ministry spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p>\"When we receive the committee's findings, we will study them.<br>\nThe Singapore government will then give its considered response,\"<br>\nhe said.<\/p>\n<p>The inquiry, which followed a passionate outcry in the<br>\nPhilippines that severely strained relations with Singapore, said<br>\nContemplacion could have been a victim of grave injustice.<\/p>\n<p>The committee did not recommend Manila cut off ties with<br>\nSingapore, but it urged the Philippine government to demand a<br>\njoint re-investigation of the double murders for which<br>\nContemplacion was executed.<\/p>",
