        "content": "<p>S'pore export growth falls<\/p>\n<p>SINGAPORE (Reuter): Singapore's non-oil exports, excluding re-<br>\nexports, rose only 2.3 percent in April to S$6.39 billion (US$4.6<br>\nbillion), down sharply from 22 percent growth in the same period<br>\nof last year, the Trade Development Board (TDB) said.<\/p>\n<p>The TDB said there was a slowdown in exports of<br>\nmicrocomputers, radios, and electronic parts for color TVs,<br>\nradios and video cassette recorders.<\/p>\n<p>But exports of integrated circuits, disk drives, video<br>\ncassette recorders, printers, electronic calculators and modems<br>\nremained strong, the TDB said.<\/p>\n<p>Total trade grew 2.4 percent to S$26.44 billion ($19.02<br>\nbillion), down sharply from 20.6 percent growth in March and a<br>\n27.6 percent rise in February this year.<\/p>\n<p>April oil exports fell 13.1 percent in nominal terms and 12.1<br>\npercent in real terms, the TDB said.<\/p>",
