        "content": "<p>S'pore, China inks pact to boost air services<\/p>\n<p>SINGAPORE: Singapore has signed a pact with China to boost air<br>\ntraffic and civil aviation ties between the two countries, the<br>\ngovernment said Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was signed in Singapore between Transport<br>\nMinister Yeo Cheow Tong and China's Aviation Minister Yang<br>\nYuanyuan, the transport ministry said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The two ministers also agreed to expand the air services<br>\nagreement capacity between the two countries, the ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>\"With closer relations in civil aviation, there will be<br>\ngreater impetus for enhanced economic, social and cultural ties<br>\nbetween the peoples of our two countries,\" Yeo said at a signing<br>\nceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Under the deal, capacity for passenger services will rise by<br>\n75 percent and cargo capacity will be tripled by 2004, the<br>\nstatement said. -- AFP<\/p>",
