        "content": "<p>S'pore aid offers to be queried<\/p>\n<p>SINGAPORE (AP): Singapore lawmakers plan to question the<br>\ncountry's aid offers to Thailand and Indonesia, Parliament<br>\nannounced yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Several members have submitted written queries for Finance<br>\nMinister Richard Hu and Trade and Industry Minister Lee Yock Suan<br>\nto be answered at the next session Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Order Paper, an agenda released shortly before Parliament<br>\nmeets, said one legislator plans to ask Hu about the nature and<br>\nform of the US$10 billion rescue package for Indonesia, and how<br>\nSingapore and other members of the Association of Southeast Asian<br>\nNations will benefit from it.<\/p>\n<p>Another is expected to ask Hu how the offer will affect<br>\nSingapore's foreign exchange reserves and whether money in the<br>\nCentral Provident Fund will be affected. The cash-rich fund<br>\nmanages the country's pension fund.<\/p>",
