Usually,<br>\nafter sipping a sweet drink, one will start with a sweet snack<br>\nbefore moving on to the main meal.<\/p>\n<p>The following are recipes provided by Hotel Ciputra in Grogol,<br>\nWest Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Lopis Ketan -- five servings<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>Young coconut: pared     2 cups<\/p>\n<p>Brown sugar              6 ounces<\/p>\n<p>Water                    3 cups<\/p>\n<p>Banana leaf              2<\/p>\n<p>Glutinous rice, washed   4 ounces<\/p>\n<p>Rice, washed             2 ounces<\/p>\n<p>Preparation:<\/p>\n<p>Mix the glutinous rice with the rice. Wrap the mixture in the<br>\nbanana leaves, making sure to fill only three-quarters full, so<br>\nthat the banana leaves will not become too full when cooked. Boil<br>\nfor two hours and then set aside to allow the water to dry.<\/p>\n<p>Boil the brown sugar in water until dissolved. Let cool.<\/p>\n<p>Cut the banana leaves into desired size and put the pieces on<br>\na plate.<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle the pared coconut and pour the brown sugar water over<br>\nthe banana leaves.<\/p>\n<p>Kolak Biji Salak -- 1 serving<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>Brown sugar             100 grams<\/p>\n<p>Salt                      2 teaspoons<\/p>\n<p>Glutinous rice flour      2 cups<\/p>\n<p>Starch flour              2 tablespoons<\/p>\n<p>Pared coconut             1\/2 piece<\/p>\n<p>Hot water                22 tablespoons<\/p>\n<p>Preparation:<\/p>\n<p>Boil brown sugar with three tablespoons of water until<br>\ndissolved. Then filter.<\/p>\n<p>Boil coconut milk with salt. Let dry.<\/p>\n<p>Mix the sticky rice flour and starch flour with hot water and<br>\nthen blend. Make small balls with the flour mixture and then cut<br>\ndiagonally. Cook in boiling water until the flour balls float.<\/p>\n<p>Remove from the water and place in brown sugar mixture.<\/p>\n<p>Serve on a small plate with coconut milk.<\/p>\n<p>Dada Ayam Bungkus Kol (Cabbage stuffed with chicken breast) --<br>\nfive servings<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>Chicken breast: milled     200 grams<\/p>\n<p>Garlic                      15 grams<\/p>\n<p>Coriander seed (powdered)   10 grams<\/p>\n<p>Caraway seed (powdered)      5 grams<\/p>\n<p>Egg                          1<\/p>\n<p>Hot chili, sliced thin      30 grams<\/p>\n<p>Pecel spices               250 grams<\/p>\n<p>Cabbage, boiled              5 slices<\/p>\n<p>Salt and pepper<\/p>\n<p>Preparation:<\/p>\n<p>Mix the milled chicken with garlic, coriander seed, caraway<br>\nseed, salt, pepper and egg. Blend properly.<\/p>\n<p>Roll the chicken mixture in cabbage one by one and then steam.<\/p>\n<p>When done, cut diagonally and serve with pecel spices.<\/p>\n<p>Tumis Daging \"Rudiana\" --  5 servings<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>Beef, sliced               400 grams<\/p>\n<p>Garlic, sliced thin         15 grams<\/p>\n<p>Red chili, sliced           30 grams<\/p>\n<p>Ginger, sliced thin         10 grams<\/p>\n<p>Bombay onion               100 grams<\/p>\n<p>Green Paprika, sliced      100 grams<\/p>\n<p>Oyster sauce                10 grams<\/p>\n<p>Coriander seed, powdered    15 grams<\/p>\n<p>Caraway seed, powdered      10 grams<\/p>\n<p>Ang Ciu                     30 ml<\/p>\n<p>Sweet soy sauce             15 ml<\/p>\n<p>Egg                          1<\/p>\n<p>Starch flour                15 grams<\/p>\n<p>Chicken broth              125 ml<\/p>\n<p>Cooking oil                 15 ml<\/p>\n<p>Salt<\/p>\n<p>Pepper<\/p>\n<p>Flavorings<\/p>\n<p>Preparation:<\/p>\n<p>Mix sliced meat with garlic, coriander seed, caraway seed,<br>\nsalt and pepper. Add starch flour, then blend together. Add egg<br>\nand again mix. Let sit for around 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Fry the mixture until its color turns brown and then add<br>\nonion, chili, ginger and paprika. Then add oyster sauce, ang ciu,<br>\nsoy sauce and flavorings.<\/p>\n<p>While stirring in the pan, add the chicken broth.<\/p>\n<p>Serve hot with rice. (ste)<\/p>",
