        "content": "<p>Spain to lend $27m for project in RP<\/p>\n<p>MANILA: Spain will lend the Philippines 1.52 billion pesos<br>\n(US$27 million) to set up solar energy systems for remote<br>\nvillages under a land reform program, the government said on<br>\nFriday.<\/p>\n<p>Solar-powered systems would boost agricultural productivity<br>\nand electrify community facilities such as school buildings and<br>\npotable water systems in areas which are inaccessible to normal<br>\npower systems, it said.<\/p>\n<p>Some 55,000 households in the central and southern Philippines<br>\nwill be provided with photo voltaic energy systems for<br>\nagriculture and small businesses, the government said in a<br>\nstatement.<\/p>\n<p>The Philippines would contribute $50.2 million to the project.<br>\n-- AFP<\/p>",
