The South Tangerang City Government (Pemkot Tangsel) has opened Phase\nIII of the New Student Admission System (SPMB) for state junior high\nschools (SMP Negeri) for the 2026\/2027 Academic Year, starting Monday\n(06\/07\/2026). This is the final stage for prospective students applying\nthrough the Affirmative Action and Disability pathways. Participants may\nalso select a Partner Private Junior High School (SMP Swasta Pendamping)\nas an alternative if they are not accommodated in a state school.<\/p>\n
Registration is open from today, 6 July 2026, until 8 July via the\nofficial website spmb.tangerangselatankota.go.id. The selection results\nwill be announced on 9 July 2026, with re-registration on 10 July\n2026.<\/p>\n
Head of the South Tangerang Education and Culture Agency, Deden Deni,\ntold reporters on Monday (6\/7) in South Tangerang that his agency has\nprepared 2,997 seats specifically for the Affirmative Action pathway as\na commitment to providing equitable access to education for the\ncommunity.<\/p>\n
He explained that Phase III of the SPMB is officially open for the\nAffirmative Action and Disability pathways. He urged all eligible\nparents and prospective students to make the most of this opportunity by\nregistering according to the established schedule.<\/p>\n
The Affirmative Action pathway is intended for prospective students\nfrom underprivileged families who are registered in central or regional\ngovernment assistance programmes. Requirements include attaching a\nparental declaration as a recipient of the Family Hope Programme (PKH)\nand the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP).<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, prospective students applying through the Disability\npathway must possess a disability card or a certificate from a doctor or\npsychologist as proof in accordance with applicable regulations.<\/p>\n
The South Tangerang Education and Culture Agency also provides the\nopportunity for prospective students to choose a Partner Private Junior\nHigh School, ensuring that participants who do not pass the selection\nfor state schools still have access to education.<\/p>\n
After completing the online registration, prospective students are\nrequired to download the registration receipt for verification by the\ncommittee at the destination school. The committee will then hold a\nplenary meeting to finalise the selection results before they are\nannounced to the public.<\/p>\n
To assist the public during the registration process, the Education\nand Culture Agency has opened an SPMB hotline at 0851-9628-0598 and a\nComplaint Post at the Agency\u2019s office, located on the 1st Floor of\nBuilding C, Pemkot Tangsel Office Complex, Jalan Promoter Number 3,\nLengkong Wetan, Serpong.<\/p>\n
