South Sumatra Police Chief\nInspector General Sandi Nugroho has provided new residential assistance\nto two elderly farmers in Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency.<\/p>\n<p>According to information received, the handover took place on Monday\n(20\/4\/2026) in Margodadi Village, Semendawai Suku III Subdistrict,\nrepresented directly by East OKU Police Chief AKBP Adik Listiyono. The\ntwo beneficiaries are Suparni (62), a farmer from Margodadi Village, and\nJamhir (75), a farmer from Melati Agung Village, East Semendawai\nSubdistrict.<\/p>\n<p>Jamhir is known to have permanent blindness due to pesticide\nexposure. Both have lived in limited conditions without decent\nhousing.<\/p>\n<p>The event proceeded solemnly, attended by Forkopimcam\nrepresentatives, East OKU Police Resort officials, village apparatus,\nand local residents. The activities included an opening, prayer,\nspeeches, social assistance handover, and a symbolic ribbon-cutting\nceremony for Suparni\u2019s new home.
