South Sulawesi Vice Governor Fatmawati Rusdi stated in Makassar\non Thursday that the province holds a strategic position as one of the\neconomic growth centres in eastern Indonesia. Various leading sectors,\nranging from agriculture, fisheries, and industry to tourism and the\ncreative economy, are considered to have significant prospects for\ndevelopment through global partnerships. She explained that the support\nof an international port, industrial estates, agricultural and fishery\nproduction centres, and connectivity linking various regions in Eastern\nIndonesia positions South Sulawesi as one of the main hubs of national\neconomic activity in the eastern region.
