        "content": "<p>The South Lampung Regency Government, through its Trade and Industry\nOffice, has launched a simultaneous cheap market penetration movement as\na concrete measure to control regional inflation whilst maintaining\nprice stability and the availability of staple goods for the community.\nHead of Trade at the South Lampung Trade and Industry Office,\nMirliansyah, stated in Kalianda on Wednesday that the market penetration\nmovement is focused on helping residents obtain basic necessities at\nmore affordable prices, particularly amidst the scarcity and price hikes\nof Minyakita branded cooking oil, which have been occurring since May\n2026. \u201cThis market penetration movement aims to curb the regional\ninflation rate, specifically addressing the scarcity and rising prices\nof Minyakita since May 2026. Through this activity, we hope the public\ncan obtain basic necessities at more affordable prices,\u201d Mirliansyah\nsaid. He explained that the activity is also the result of collaboration\nbetween the Lampung Provincial Industry and Trade Office, the Lampung\nRegional Logistics Agency (Perum Bulog), and trade departments across\nall regencies and cities in Lampung Province. \u201cIn South Lampung itself,\nthe market penetration activities are being carried out in three\nlocations: Kalianda Market, Sidomulyo Market, and Katibung Market. The\nimplementation at Kalianda Market took place on 9-10 June 2026, and will\ncontinue at Sidomulyo Market next week before concluding at Katibung\nMarket at the end of June 2026,\u201d he said. According to him, the regional\ngovernment has prepared anticipatory measures should additional supply\nfrom Bulog become available. If stock is available, similar activities\nwill be expanded to Bakauheni Market to address reports of Minyakita\nstock shortages that had occurred in that area. \u201cResidents can purchase\nseveral strategic commodities at more affordable prices, namely\n5-kilogramme packaged SPHP rice for Rp60,000, granulated sugar at\nRp17,500 per kilogramme, and 2-litre packaged Minyakita for Rp31,000.\nSpecifically for Minyakita purchases, residents are required to show\ntheir identity card (KTP) because the available stock is still limited,\u201d\nhe stated. He explained that the high public response is an indicator\nthat the programme provides tangible benefits to residents, particularly\nin meeting daily basic needs. \u201cOur hope is that this market penetration\nmovement can help the community obtain staple goods at stable prices and\nprevent price spikes, especially for cooking oil, rice, and sugar\ncommodities,\u201d he said.
