        "content": "<p>The South Kalimantan Forestry Service has deployed 150 personnel\nsupported by six heavy equipment units to strengthen prevention and\nhandling of forest and land fires so that they do not spread into the\nLiang Anggang protected forest area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll available personnel and equipment are being optimised for\npatrols, prevention, suppression, and control of forest and land fires\nso that every hotspot can be addressed immediately before it develops\nand expands, and does not spread into the protected forest,\u201d said Head\nof the South Kalimantan Forestry Service Fathimatuzzahra during a\nCoordination Meeting on Forest and Land Fire Handling in Banjarmasin on\nTuesday.<\/p>\n<p>She said the six heavy equipment units for handling forest and land\nfires in the protected forest consist of two long arm units, one\namphibious excavator unit, and three PC 135 units, intended to reinforce\nthe 150 personnel in supporting field operations as needed according to\nthe division of forest and land fire handling areas.<\/p>\n<p>As coordinator for forest and land fire handling in the Liang Anggang\nprotected forest area and its surroundings, the South Kalimantan\nForestry Service is supported by resources from the Social Service, the\nSouth Kalimantan Regional Police, and the Main Naval Base of\nBanjarmasin.<\/p>\n<p>She emphasised that strengthening personnel, equipment, patrols, and\nfield coordination is an important part of ensuring all available\nresources can be used optimally in facing the threat of forest and land\nfires in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are synergising with all elements involved and ensuring that\nevery force in the field can move quickly as needed,\u201d said\nFathimatuzzahra.<\/p>",
