"summary": "The South Kalimantan provincial government is developing an international-standard molecular biology laboratory to enhance the detection of infectious diseases and more accurate cancer screening. Equipped with a Biosafety Level 2 Plus facility supporting PCR technology, the lab has expanded beyond COVID-19 testing to include HPV DNA screening for cervical cancer and TB detection, aligning with national priorities for controlling infectious and non-communicable diseases. This initiative is bolstered by specialised staff training and a clinical microbiology specialist overseeing operations, improving public health services in the region.",
