        "content": "<p>The South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency has completed the\nconstruction of a new 30-metre water channel on Jalan Menteng Atas\nDalam, RT 11\/RW 06, Menteng Dalam Urban Village, Setiabudi, to minimise\nthe potential for standing water during rain. Head of the South Jakarta\nSDA Agency, Santo, stated that the intervention was a rapid response to\na public report submitted through the Citizen Relation Management (CRM)\napplication regarding a drainage channel that was not functioning\noptimally. \u201cIt is true, the water channel in RT 11\/RW 06 Menteng Dalam\nhas been handled. Alhamdulillah, the residents are very pleased because\nwe built a new channel,\u201d Santo said in Jakarta on Friday. The drainage\nconstruction, which began on 9 July 2026, utilised precast U-Ditch\nconcrete measuring 40 centimetres to improve water flow and increase\ncapacity. He explained that the work was carried out manually by the SDA\ntask force at the sub-district level together with South Jakarta SDA\nofficers. \u201cWe have also checked it, and the results are better.\nHopefully, this drainage system improvement can minimise the potential\nfor flooding during rain,\u201d Santo said. Given the high volume of drainage\nissue reports in the South Jakarta area, handling is carried out in\nstages by considering the level of urgency and the availability of\npersonnel in the field. \u201cEssentially, every incoming report regarding\nchannels will definitely be followed up, but it must be done in turns\nbecause the number of personnel is limited. If the field personnel are\ncomplete, we will certainly handle it immediately,\u201d said Paulus. One\nresident of RT 11\/RW 06 Menteng Dalam, Wahyunar, expressed gratitude for\nthe swift response provided by the SDA Agency. \u201cOn behalf of the\nresidents, I am very grateful for the SDA\u2019s rapid response. We hope\nthere will be no more standing water or overflowing water due to\nchannels clogged with rubbish.
