        "content": "<p>The South Jakarta City Administration is ready to issue warning\nletters for buildings without a Certificate of Occupancy (Sertifikat\nLaik Fungsi\/SLF), including several buildings owned by the local\ngovernment. \u201cWe are also urging them to immediately process their SLF.\nHowever, if there is no response, we will issue a warning letter,\u201d said\nAndy Lazuardy, Head of the South Jakarta Cipta Karya, Spatial Planning\nand Land Agency (Citata), in Jakarta on Wednesday. His office will send\nwarning letters to building owners or managers who do not promptly\nprocess the document. Currently, however, the agency is still\nprioritising a persuasive approach by providing education and urging\nbuilding owners or managers to complete their SLF ownership. According\nto him, the SLF is a document stating that a building has met technical\nrequirements and is declared fit for use. \u201cTherefore, the existence of\nthe SLF is not only an administrative obligation but also a safety\nguarantee for the public as building users,\u201d he said. Before an SLF is\nissued, every building must undergo a series of inspections involving\nthe Citata Sub-agency, the Fire and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat), and\nOccupational Safety and Health (K3) elements. In addition, the team\nevaluates the mechanical and electrical conditions of the building,\nincluding electrical installations, electrical panels, lifts, and\nescalators, to ensure all supporting systems are functioning optimally.\n\u201cEach inspection has a checklist. The assessment is carried out by three\nagencies, and each has its own parameters,\u201d he said. The inspection\nresults from all agencies are then compiled to determine the building\u2019s\nstatus, whether it is declared fit, less fit, or unfit for use. \u201cAfter\nall inspection results are collected, it is then determined whether the\nbuilding is fit, less fit, or unfit for use,\u201d Andy said.<\/p>",
