        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The South Jakarta City Government (Pemkot Jaksel)\nis preparing a reservoir spanning 2.8 hectares (ha) located on Jalan\nRengas, Bintaro, Pesanggrahan, as a measure to anticipate flooding. \u201cIn\naddition to absorption wells, the land owned by the DKI Provincial\nGovernment on Jalan Rengas will be utilised as a reservoir,\u201d said the\nHead of the South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-Department (SDA), Santo,\nat Danau Cavalio Pesanggrahan, Jakarta, on Sunday. Santo stated that the\nland will be used as a reservoir to reduce water pooling in the\nsurrounding areas. He explained that the presence of this reservoir is\nexpected to significantly minimise waterlogging in the Swadarma and Kali\nKeuangan areas of Pesanggrahan. \u201cIf this reservoir project is completed,\nthose areas will be greatly assisted (in tackling flooding),\u201d he said.\nSanto mentioned that dredging of the reservoir is already underway,\nalthough there are still administrative obstacles on part of the land.\nHe acknowledged that around 4,000 square metres (m\u00b2) of the total 2.8\nhectares is still in the process of completing its administration.\n\u201cWhile waiting for that land to be cleared, we have already started\ndredging on the edge of the land,\u201d said Santo. He hopes that the\nadministrative land issues can be resolved soon so that the reservoir\nconstruction can proceed more optimally. Meanwhile, the South Jakarta\nAdministrative City Government is optimising the 2.8-hectare land on\nJalan Rengas, RT 05\/011, Bintaro Ward, Pesanggrahan Subdistrict, for\npublic service facilities and flood control. The land, with a depth of\nfive metres, is also being connected from two nearby rivers, namely Kali\nRengas and Kali Uangan. Furthermore, the city government is adding\njogging paths and other supporting facilities in the reservoir area.<\/p>",
