        "content": "<p>Sony urged to pay fair severance pay<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Minister of Manpower and Transmigration Jacob Nuwa<br>\nWea asked PT Sony Indonesia on Thursday to give satisfactory<br>\ncompensation funds to workers who have to be dismissed due to its<br>\ndecision to shut down its operation in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\"For Sony, it is embarrassing if the company only pays<br>\ncompensation funds as mentioned in Manpower Minister Decree<br>\nNo.150\/2000,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>Jacob said Sony must provide enough compensation funds to<br>\nlaid-off workers to allow them to open new business or survive<br>\nbefore finding a new job.
