        "content": "<p>The effort by former Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency\n(BGN), Sony Sonjaya, to obtain Justice Collaborator (JC) status in the\nalleged corruption case concerning the management of the Free Nutritious\nMeal Programme (MBG) at the BGN has entered a critical phase. The\nAttorney General\u2019s Office (AGO) has confirmed that the application\nsubmitted by Sony has reached the investigators and is currently under\nfurther review. However, the prospects of the request being granted\nstill depend on the results of the investigators\u2019 in-depth\nassessment.<\/p>\n<p>Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special\nCrimes (Jampidsus), Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, stated that the JC request\nletter from Sony has been received by the investigative team. \u201cThe\nletter has been received and is being studied,\u201d he said on Wednesday, 10\nJune 2026. According to him, investigators will not rush to make a\ndecision. All information provided by Sony must first be tested and\ncross-checked against the evidence already gathered by the investigative\nteam during the case investigation process. This process is considered\ncrucial to assess the extent of the suspect\u2019s contribution in helping to\nuncover the case at hand. The former\nDeputy Head of BGN, Sony Sonjaya, who is now a suspect, has chosen to\ntake the step of becoming a Justice Collaborator (JC). Furthermore,\nthrough his legal counsel, Sony is claimed to have begun disclosing\ninformation regarding other parties suspected of being connected to the\ncase currently being handled by the AGO. Sony\u2019s legal counsel, Krisna\nMurti, stated that the JC application had been officially submitted to\nAGO investigators.
