Sony offers scholarships<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The audio-video maker Sony Group will present a
\nnumber of scholarships to prominent final-grade students of state
\nuniversities as part of the company's program to support
\neducation and training programs in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
Harismawan Wahyuadi of PT Sony Indonesia said here yesterday
\nthat 17 students were scheduled to receive scholarships from his
\ncompany tomorrow.<\/p>\n
\"The 17 students, from Gadjah Mada University, ITB, ITS,
\nBrawijaya University, Diponegoro University and University of
\nIndonesia, have been selected from 1,118 candidates,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Sony extends Rp 1.5 million and Rp 2 million per year for
\npolytechnic and university students respectively, he added.<\/p>\n
\"After being assisted during their final research, the
\nstudents will have the chance to work in one of the Sony
\ncompanies.\"<\/p>\n
Sony Indonesia deals with the sales, marketing and after-sales
\nservice of Japanese Sony audio-visual products. There are three
\nother Sony subsidiaries in Indonesia, including PT Sony
\nElectronics Indonesia, PT Sony Manufacturing Indonesia and PT
