Garbage seems to be a perennial problem in major cities across
\nthe country. One of the difficulties in solving this problem is
\nthe lack of space for a final dumping site.
\nUnless this problem is properly solved, it may cause society many
\nother serious problems in the future.<\/p>\n
In fact, there is an alternative solution: The use of an
\nincinerator. When an incinerator is used, garbage can be handled
\nin small units, for example, the garbage from a housing estate or
\neven a neighborhood.<\/p>\n
As a leading ship-making and electronic company in Japan has
\nmade public in one of its releases, an incinerator has two
\nadvantages in that it is environmentally friendly -- because the
\nresulting fumes can be neutralized with a modern exhaust gas
\ntreatment method -- and that it can be used for quite a long time
\nand is cost-efficient.<\/p>\n
Experiments with an incinerator made by ship-making company PT
\nPAL in Surabaya conducted since 2002 show that the incinerator is
\neasy to operate. Also, garbage can be thoroughly burned. But
\nbefore the fumes from burning the garbage are released to the
\nair, they are first treated using a modern method.<\/p>\n
The security of this process has been certified through a test
\nvalidated by the health ministry of the Republic of Indonesia. In
\nfact, an incinerator has already been used in some places in
\nIndonesia. You can also try to use it and then test the results
\nwith us.<\/p>\n
