William da Costa, chief<br>\nof the Udayana Military Command overseeing Bali, West and East<br>\nNusa Tenggara, asked the Military District in East Nusa Tenggara<br>\nto prioritize the seeking of an immediate solution to the problem<br>\nof East Timorese refugees in the province.<\/p>\n<p>\"The presence of East Timorese refugees in the province has<br>\nbeen a serious problem the local military authorities must accord<br>\npriority to solve because they have economically affected local<br>\npeople, mostly still living under impoverished circumstances,\" he<br>\nsaid when swearing in Col. M. Moesanip as new chief of the<br>\nMilitary District to replace Col.
