        "content": "<p>The joint Search and Rescue (SAR) team discovered one victim of the\nflash flood in Solok, West Sumatra, deceased on Tuesday (22\/09\/2026) at\napproximately 1:30 PM WIB. The victim was found in the Koto Gaek\nriverbed, which borders the Jawi-jawi area in Solok Regency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe victim was found by the joint SAR team and local residents in\nthe riverbed, deceased,\u201d stated the Head of SAR Padang, Abdul Malik, in\nPadang.<\/p>\n<p>However, Abdul Malik noted that the victim\u2019s identity has not yet\nbeen confirmed. \u201cAfter the body was found, it was immediately evacuated\nfrom the location; however, the identity cannot be certain yet,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the victim\u2019s identity will be determined once the\nexamination by the Indonesian National Police\u2019s Disaster Victim\nIdentification (DVI) team is complete. Abdul Malik stated that following\nthe discovery of the first victim, search efforts will continue around\nthe location and other areas affected by the disaster that occurred on\nMonday night (21\/09).<\/p>\n<p>According to initial information obtained by the Padang SAR Office,\ntwo people were reported missing following the flood. The search\noperation involves approximately 600 personnel from various agencies,\nsupported by local residents.<\/p>\n<p>The Padang Search and Rescue Office has deployed resources to find\ntwo Solok residents who went missing after the flash flood struck on\nMonday night (21\/09\/2026). \u201cAs a result of this incident, two residents\nare reported missing, and the search is currently ongoing,\u201d said Abdul\nMalik.<\/p>\n<p>He identified the two missing individuals as two males, namely\nAlgusral (59) and Dafi (20). The Padang SAR Office has deployed\npersonnel to Solok since Monday night, supplemented by the Tanah Datar\nRegency SAR Alert Unit, which arrived at the location in the early hours\nof Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Based on preliminary data obtained by SAR Padang, the flash flood\nthat hit Solok on Monday night has caused several casualties and\nsignificant impact. Four people sustained injuries and are currently\nreceiving treatment in hospital, while 32 people were previously\nevacuated. The flash flood also severed access between Padang City and\nSolok Regency, as flood debris consisting of landslides, sand, stones,\nand mud covered the road.<\/p>",
