        "content": "<p>Solidarity under trial<\/p>\n<p>The unrest on Haruku Island in Central Maluku will hopefully<br>\nremind us, as a nation and as members of the human race, that<br>\ndisaster always brings suffering. What is involved is not only<br>\nthe figures on how many ruined buildings and damaged vehicles,<br>\nbut also, and more importantly, the human suffering caused by<br>\nsuch unrest.<\/p>\n<p>It is to be hoped that the recent spate of tragedies will<br>\nbring some good by reminding us that it is time for us to return<br>\nto the roots of our benevolent human natures and put an end to<br>\nall of this unrest and disorder. It is time that we learn once<br>\nagain to live together in peace and cast away our feelings of<br>\nmutual distrust.<\/p>\n<p>No less important, it is time that we learn not to allow<br>\nourselves to be provoked so easily, and to think clearly about<br>\nall the problems and issues which we must face. Surely we do not<br>\nwant the unrest in Maluku to spread to other regions in<br>\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n<p>-- Merdeka, Jakarta<\/p>",
