Hanafi from the Pattimura Regional<br>\nMilitary Command is facing five years in prison and dismissal<br>\nfrom active military service for allegedly being involved in a<br>\nbombing incident.<\/p>\n<p>At a hearing before the Ambon Military Tribunal on Tuesday,<br>\nHanafi was charged with assisting a civilian defendant, Aras<br>\nPantotoreng, to install a five-kilogram explosive device at the<br>\neastern main entrance of the Maluku governor&apos;s office in November<br>\n2001.<\/p>\n<p>In a previous hearing, Aras admitted that Hanafi was keeping<br>\nwatch while he entered the Batumerah area in order to reach the<br>\ngovernor&apos;s office before security forces caught them.<\/p>\n<p>The trial was adjourned to Thursday, when Hanafi&apos;s lawyer was<br>\nscheduled to make a statement in their defense against the<br>\ncharges.--JP<\/p>",
