        "content": "<p>State-owned enterprises through PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) have\ncompleted the construction of four reservoirs in Banyumas Regency,\nCentral Java, to strengthen water availability while supporting regional\nfood security. This water resource infrastructure is also aimed at\nproviding economic and social benefits to the surrounding community.<\/p>\n<p>Company Secretary of Brantas Abipraya, Dian Sovana, stated that the\ncompleted reservoirs include Embung Kejawar, Embung Wangon, Embung\nAlasmalang, and Embung Kedunggede. All four reservoirs are ready to be\nutilised for raw water supply, agricultural irrigation, fisheries,\ntourism destinations, and water reserves during the dry season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrantas Abipraya ensures that the construction of the four\nreservoirs proceeds in accordance with quality standards, safety, and on\ntime,\u201d said Dian in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday\n(7\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Dian conveyed that this project is part of the government\u2019s efforts\nthrough the Ministry of Public Works (PU) to strengthen national water\nand food resilience. Embung Kejawar has a storage capacity of 9,534\ncubic metres, Embung Wangon 12,701 cubic metres, Embung Alasmalang\n25,200 cubic metres, and Embung Kedunggede with a capacity of 18,028\ncubic metres.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn addition to their main function as irrigation water providers,\nthe four reservoirs are also designed to have added value as public\nspaces,\u201d said Dian.<\/p>\n<p>Dian explained that Embung Kejawar and Wangon are equipped with\nintake facilities, outlet, guard house, toilet, and open areas that can\nbe utilised by the community for social activities. The reservoir\nconstruction is said not only to focus on technical aspects but also on\ndirect benefits for the surrounding community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are committed to delivering infrastructure that is not only\nreliable in function but also provides added social and economic value\nto the community,\u201d said Dian.<\/p>\n<p>Through this project, Brantas Abipraya strengthens its role in\nsustainable water resource infrastructure development. The company\nstates it will continue to support reservoir development programmes in\nvarious regions to enhance national water and food resilience.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo stated that the construction\nof dams, weirs, reservoirs, and impoundments plays a strategic role in\nmaintaining the sustainability of the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Ministry of PU continues to commit to building and completing\nwater management infrastructure in various regions to ensure water\navailability for the agricultural sector,\u201d said Dody.<\/p>",
