        "content": "<p>Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is expanding its group umrah\nservices, which are centralised at the dedicated Hajj and Umrah Terminal\n2F. Starting 7 August 2026, four airlines\u2014Ethiopian Airlines, SriLankan\nAirlines, Malaysia Airlines, and Royal Brunei Airlines\u2014will operate\ndepartures and arrivals for group umrah pilgrims through the\nterminal.<\/p>\n<p>General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Heru\nKaryadi, stated that the expansion follows the smooth implementation of\nthe centralised umrah service in July 2026. He noted that the addition\nof these airlines will make services for pilgrims more integrated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter the implementation of services for umrah airlines last July\nran smoothly, we are again expanding the operational coverage of the\nSpecial Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F,\u201d Heru said in a written statement in\nJakarta on Tuesday (4\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Heru explained that the operation of umrah services through the\nSpecial Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F is part of the airport management\u2019s\ncommitment to improving service quality for pilgrims. He added that\noperational evaluations of the terminal will continue to be conducted\nregularly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to evaluate periodically the operations of the\nSpecial Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F so that every service process runs\nwell and is continuously adjusted to operational needs in the field,\u201d\nHeru said.<\/p>\n<p>Heru noted that the Special Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F is equipped\nwith various supporting facilities for worship travel, including\ndedicated check-in areas, a large-capacity waiting room, prayer\nfacilities, and other service amenities. The presence of these\nfacilities is intended to provide comfort for pilgrims from the\ndeparture process through to arrival.<\/p>\n<p>During the period of 1-31 July 2026, the terminal served 89,656 umrah\npassengers for both departures and arrivals. With the addition of the\nfour new airlines, the terminal now serves Loong Air, Hainan Airlines,\nSaudi Arabian Airlines, Scoot, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways,\nEgyptAir, Oman Air, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Ethiopian Airlines,\nSriLankan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, and Royal Brunei Airlines.<\/p>\n<p>Heru affirmed that the airport will continue to collaborate with\nregulators, airlines, Umrah Travel Organisers (PPIU), ground handling\ncompanies, and all stakeholders. \u201cCollaboration among all stakeholders\nis key to ensuring that every operational process runs well and services\nto the public are increasingly optimised,\u201d Heru concluded.<\/p>",
