PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero), operating as InJourney Airports,
through its Soekarno-Hatta International Airport branch in Tangerang,
Banten, is expanding services for Umrah pilgrims with the addition of
four new airlines to operate at the dedicated Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F
starting 7 August 2026. Soekarno-Hatta International Airport General
Manager Heru Karyadi said on Tuesday that the four additional airlines
for Umrah departures and arrivals are Ethiopian Airlines, SriLankan
Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, and Royal Brunei Airlines. He stated that
the inclusion of these four new carriers follows coordination with
regulators, airlines, ground handling companies, and all stakeholders to
deliver more integrated Umrah services at Soekarno-Hatta International
Airport. “After the smooth implementation of services for Umrah airlines
last July, we are again expanding the operational scope of the Hajj and
Umrah Terminal 2F. With these four airlines joining, services for
pilgrims will become more centralised, making operational coordination
more effective and the travel experience more comfortable,” he
explained. He noted that the dedicated terminal is designed to meet the
needs of religious travel with supporting facilities such as dedicated
check-in areas, large-capacity waiting lounges, comfortable prayer
areas, and other service facilities designed to provide comfort for
pilgrims. “During the period of 1 to 31 July 2026, the Hajj and Umrah
Terminal 2F served 89,696 Umrah passengers for both departures and
arrivals,” he said. He revealed that this achievement serves as an
indicator of the terminal’s readiness to accommodate the service
expansion through the addition of airlines in August 2026.
Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is committed to continuously
evaluating and improving services together with regulators, airlines,
Umrah Travel Organisers (PPIU), ground handling, and all stakeholders to
ensure services for pilgrims continue to improve. “We are committed to
making the Hajj and Umrah Terminal 2F a centre for Umrah services that
provides a safe, comfortable, and memorable travel experience for all
pilgrims,” he said.
",
