Palu (ANTARA) - The Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of
Indonesia (Mensos RI), Saifullah Yusuf, has urged alumni of the State
Islamic University (UIN) Datokarama in Palu, Central Sulawesi, to become
problem solvers or creative individuals to help the government
accelerate poverty eradication. “With adequate resources, competent
graduates, and strong moral and intellectual capital, UIN Datokarama
graduates must become solutions to various complex social problems in
society,” said Saifullah Yusuf in his scientific oration at the 46th
Graduation Ceremony for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees at
UIN Datokarama Palu on Monday. He stated that UIN Datokarama graduates
are part of Indonesia’s educated generation, so the knowledge gained in
university must be implemented in social and national life. “We are not
only solving today’s problems, but preparing the nation’s future. If
poverty is a chain, then education is the key, and today you hold that
key,” he said. According to the minister, Indonesia Emas in 2045 will
not be determined by who is strongest now, but by how we prepare the
next generation for the future. “May the knowledge you possess not only
bring personal success, but also benefits to society, the nation, and
the state,” he said. “We are committed to actively engaging in social
life,” he added. He asked the alumni to be present in society and take
strategic roles in resolving poverty issues. “Every graduate has space
to contribute. Take roles in your respective environments, build
collaborations, and drive changes that bring goodness,” said Lukman.
",
