        "content": "<p>Majalengka (ANTARA) - Social Minister (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf has\nassured that his office will not hesitate to dismiss companions of the\nFamily Hope Programme (PKH) proven to have committed violations,\nfollowing a case of alleged social assistance (bansos) fund\nmisappropriation in Cirebon, West Java.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that such firm action is part of ongoing evaluations of PKH\ncompanions\u2019 performance across all regions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLearning from last year, we issued SP1 and SP2 warnings to nearly\n500 PKH companions, and 49 of them were dismissed,\u201d the Social Minister\nsaid while providing a statement in Majalengka, West Java, on\nFriday.<\/p>\n<p>This year, he continued, four PKH companions have already been\ndismissed after he signed the relevant decisions.<\/p>\n<p>He reminded that the primary duty of companions is to assist\nbeneficiary families in advancing economically, not to take actions that\nharm them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo not deceive beneficiary families, but instead accompany them to\nbecome families that rise in class,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Social Minister assessed that if PKH companions commit\nviolations, it will have serious implications as it concerns public\ntrust.<\/p>\n<p>He also conveyed that many members of the public are interested in\nbecoming PKH companions, so the position must be carried out with full\nresponsibility.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, he encouraged the role of the public and mass media to\nreport any irregularities found in the implementation of social\nassistance programmes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf any journalists see irregularities committed by the companions,\nplease report them to us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Head of Satreskrim at Cirebon City Police Resort, AKP\nAdam Gana, stated that his team had apprehended a fugitive in the\nalleged criminal act of corruption involving PKH social assistance, with\ninitials EK, after he had fled to the Lampung region.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the suspect was secured on Saturday (18\/4) around\n02:30 WIB while sleeping in a resident\u2019s house in Pasar Madang Village,\nTanggamus Regency, Lampung.<\/p>\n<p>Based on police information, the suspect is alleged to have reduced\nthe aid amount in the withdrawal invitation letters, so around 900\nbeneficiaries received smaller funds, with a total state loss of\nRp264,555,000.<\/p>",
