        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has denied information circulating\non social media about a list of vehicle brands allegedly not permitted\nto buy Pertalite from 1 June 2026. \u2018Information regarding a list of\ncertain vehicle brands that are said not to be allowed to buy Pertalite\nfrom 1 June 2026 is confirmed to be false because to date there is no\ngovernment or regulator directive or plan,\u2019 Pertamina Patra Niaga\nCorporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun said in a press release\nconfirmed to ANTARA in Jakarta on Saturday. He emphasised that there is\ncurrently no plan or instruction from the government regarding\nrestrictions on Pertalite based on vehicle brand or engine capacity as\ndescribed in the posts circulating on social media. \u2018We urge the public\nnot to easily trust or spread information that has not been verified,\u2019\nRoberth said. Roberth noted that Pertamina Patra Niaga operates under an\nenergy distribution mandate and will follow the government\u2019s official\npolicy. \u2018Again, we emphasise that there is currently no government rule\nor directive relating to Pertalite restrictions based on vehicle brand\nor engine capacity,\u2019 he said. At present, Pertalite distribution and\nsupply services continue to operate normally. The Targeted Subsidy\nProgramme is part of efforts to improve governance of energy\ndistribution so that it is more precisely targeted, and cannot be\nequated with the viral information listing certain vehicles that are\nprohibited from buying fuel.
