The Solidarity of Wives of Members of Parliament (PIA) of the PDI\nPerjuangan Faction of the Indonesian House of Representatives once again\ndemonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by organising a\nsocial event. Titled \u2018Sharing Blessings in Ramadan\u2019, the event was held\nin collaboration with the Akbar Alqi and Assaidah orphanages in Bogor\nCity, on Tuesday, 24th February.<\/p>\n
The activity is part of a series of social programmes organised by\nPIA to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan by strengthening values of\nempathy, solidarity, and mutual assistance within the community.<\/p>\n
The Chairwoman of the PDI Perjuangan Women\u2019s Wing, Vanty Veronica,\naffirmed that this activity is part of the organisation\u2019s commitment to\ncontinue to be present and provide benefits to those in need.<\/p>\n
\u201cRamadan teaches us to strengthen our concern and expand our\nbenefits. Through this activity, we want to share happiness while\nensuring that the children in the orphanages feel the attention and\naffection from the extended family of PIA of the PDI Perjuangan Faction.\nThe spirit of mutual assistance and social solidarity must continue to\nbe nurtured,\u201d said Vanty, as quoted from a press release received on\nWednesday, 25th February.<\/p>\n
Vanty also expressed hope that social activities like this can\ninspire the continued cultivation of a culture of sharing, not only\nduring Ramadan but also in everyday life.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Chairwoman of the activity committee, who is also a\nmember of PIA of the PDI Perjuangan Faction, Revy Septianopi, explained\nthat the preparations for this social event were carried out through\nmutual cooperation by all members of PIA of the PDI Perjuangan Faction.\nThe wife of DPR RI Member Muhamad Abdul Azis Sefudin mentioned that the\nassistance provided by PIA of the PDI Perjuangan Faction included food\npackages, a washing machine, a dish rack, worship equipment (18 sarongs,\n22 prayer robes, 52 prayer mats), daily necessities for children (100\nsnacks and milk, 120 towels), and financial aid as a form of real\nsupport for the orphans and the orphanage staff.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want this activity to feel warm and meaningful. With this\nassistance, we hope to ease the needs during Ramadan while also bringing\nhappiness to the children living in the orphanages,\u201d said Revy.<\/p>\n
The Head of the Akbar Alqi Orphanage, Umayah, expressed her\nappreciation for the attention and support given. According to her, the\npresence of PIA of the PDI Perjuangan Faction has brought new spirit to\nthe children and helped meet some of the operational needs of the\norphanage during Ramadan.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very grateful and thank you for the attention from the\nmembers of PIA of the PDI Perjuangan Faction. The presence of the\nmembers of PIA of the PDI Perjuangan Faction has brought happiness and\nnew spirit to our children. The assistance provided is certainly very\nhelpful for the needs of the children, especially in the lead-up to\nRamadan. Hopefully, this kindness will become a continuous act of\ncharity and this kind of relationship can continue,\u201d said Umayah.<\/p>\n
The event took place in a warm and familial atmosphere. In addition\nto the ceremony of handing over assistance, the activity also included a\njoint prayer, a short religious lecture, and direct interaction between\nthe members of PIA and the children of the orphanage. This atmosphere of\ntogetherness became a moment to strengthen relationships and cultivate\nthe spirit of sharing, which is the essence of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
Through the \u2018Sharing Blessings in Ramadan\u2019 activity, PIA of the PDI\nPerjuangan Faction hopes that the values of humanity, brotherhood, and\nsocial concern will continue to strengthen within the community. Ramadan\nis expected to be a collective momentum to expand benefits, strengthen\nrelationships, and bring happiness to others. (E-4)<\/p>\n
The distribution of food packages was carried out in an organised and\ntargeted manner. Residents around the area became the priority\nrecipients of the benefits.<\/p>\n
The spirit of mutual assistance continues to grow within the\ncommunity.<\/p>\n
The activity was carried out at the Ambesea Village Hall, Laeya\nDistrict.<\/p>\n
With this social action, the presence of The Suddha is expected to\nhave a positive impact on the community.<\/p>\n
