Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, also known as Gus Ipul,\nhas requested that the public actively report any discrepancies found in\nsocial assistance (bansos) recipient data compared to actual field\nconditions.<\/p>\n
The government is opening opportunities for data updates for citizens\nwho find themselves misclassified within the National Socio-leconomic\nSingle Data (DTSEN), whether they are eligible but not recorded\n(exclusion error) or ineligible but included (inclusion error).<\/p>\n
According to Gus Ipul, data accuracy is key to ensuring that\ngovernment assistance programmes are truly received by the entitled\ncommunity. \u201cTherefore, we request the public, if they find beneficiaries\nwho are ineligible, or citizens who are actually eligible but have been\nexcluded, that we can rectify this immediately,\u201d Gus Ipul stated in a\nrelease, quoted on Tuesday (2\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n
He explained that the government has provided various complaint and\ndata update channels that can be utilised by the public. In addition to\nformal routes starting from neighbourhood (RT\/RW) meetings,\nsub-districts, or villages, up to the Social Services through the Next\nGeneration Social Welfare Information System (SIKS-NG) application, the\npublic can also submit reports directly through digital channels.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe channels are open via WhatsApp, through the Command Centre, via\nthe Cek Bansos application, and through villages using the SIKS-NG\napplication, where there are village data operators; we now have the\ndigitalisation of social assistance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Gus Ipul emphasised that the openness of these complaint channels is\npart of the government\u2019s effort to improve the quality of social\nassistance recipient data. By involving the public directly, the\ngovernment hopes that every complaint or finding in the field can be\npromptly addressed.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, if there are complaints, or whenever there are facts on the\nground, we will immediately follow up and update the data,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n
He also expressed appreciation for the public who have been active in\nreporting inconsistencies in social assistance data. In his view, public\nparticipation is vital to improving the quality of social data, which\nserves as the basis for the distribution of various government\nassistance programmes.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe certainly appreciate this and are opening it up for updates; God\nwilling, our data will become increasingly accurate,\u201d said Gus Ipul.<\/p>\n
He noted that data updates must be carried out continuously because\nthe socio-economic conditions of the population are constantly changing.\nEvery day, there are citizens who are born, pass away, change their\ndomicile, marry, or experience changes in their level of welfare.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis update is important because data determines whether our\nprogrammes are on target and whether they reach those who are entitled,\u201d\nhe explained.<\/p>\n
For information, the DTSEN is managed by the Central Bureau of\nStatistics (BPS) as the sole manager of national data. Meanwhile, the\nMinistry of Social Affairs, together with local governments, is tasked\nwith assisting the data update process through the various channels\nprovided.<\/p>\n
Gus Ipul emphasised that the government, under the direction of\nPresident Prabowo Subianto, is committed to building an open and\naccurate social data system by involving public participation.<\/p>\n
