        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has distributed social\nassistance (bansos) worth a total of Rp544 billion in South Sulawesi\nProvince. The distribution was carried out symbolically during a\nspecific working visit by Commission VIII of the House of\nRepresentatives (DPR RI) at the South Sulawesi Governor\u2019s Office in\nMakassar on Thursday (25\/6).<\/p>\n<p>The assistance includes allocations for disaster logistics buffer\nstocks for the South Sulawesi Provincial Social Services, the Social\nEconomic Empowerment Programme, as well as components for Disaster Alert\nVillages (KSB), Social Cemeteries (TMS), and Social Welfare Institutions\n(LUMSOS) in Makassar.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the Ministry of Social Affairs also distributed aid\nthrough the Basic Food Programme (Sembako) and the Family Hope Programme\n(PKH) for the April, May, and June 2026 allocations in South Sulawesi.\nAdditionally, Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) was distributed\nthrough the Wirajaya Centre in Makassar, the Gau Mabaji Centre in Gowa,\nand the Pangurangi Centre in Takalar.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, Commission VIII of the DPR RI also conducted\nevaluations and oversight of various social assistance programmes to\nensure they are implemented according to their targets.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the Commission VIII DPR RI delegation, Erwin Aksa, stated\nthat the specific visit aimed to ensure the DPR\u2019s oversight function\noperates optimally while encouraging synergy between legislative\noversight and the implementation of government programmes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis specific visit aims to ensure the DPR RI\u2019s oversight function\nis running optimally in the field to monitor all social assistance\nclusters, ranging from disaster logistics to economic empowerment\nprogrammes, so that they truly provide a real impact on the welfare of\nthe community in South Sulawesi Province,\u201d said Erwin.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, Commission VIII of the DPR RI and the local\ngovernment also discussed accelerating the updating of poverty data and\noptimising the role of the Ministry of Social Affairs\u2019 social\nrehabilitation centres to be more adaptive to the social, medical, and\neconomic needs of the community.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the Makassar City Social Services, Andi Bukti Djufante,\nappreciated the budgetary and programme support from the central\ngovernment, which is considered vital in maintaining social and economic\nstability in the region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thank the Central Government for their great attention; we are\ncommitted to ensuring that field coordination runs excellently so that\nthe utilisation of assistance such as PKH, Sembako, and the ATENSI\nprogramme can be felt to the maximum by the community,\u201d said\nDjufante.<\/p>",
