        "content": "<p>PT Summarecon Agung Tbk is strengthening its recurring income\nstrategy through hospitality business expansion by introducing Harris\nHotel &amp; Convention Serpong in the Summarecon Serpong area, South\nTangerang.<\/p>\n<p>Investment in the hotel development reaches approximately Rp400\nbillion and forms part of the company\u2019s strategy to increase recurring\nrevenue contribution from commercial assets.<\/p>\n<p>Summarecon President Director Adrianto P. Adhi stated that the hotel\nbusiness is an important component in the company\u2019s investment property\nportfolio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe investment property segment represents approximately 25% to 30%\nof our total business. From this portion, hotels contribute\napproximately 20%, and with the arrival of Harris Hotel, we are\ntargeting its contribution to increase to approximately 23%,\u201d said\nSoegianto.<\/p>\n<p>According to Adrianto, Harris Hotel &amp; Convention Serpong is the\nfifth hotel in Summarecon\u2019s hotel business portfolio. The property is\nalso designed to be directly integrated with Summarecon Mall Serpong,\ncreating synergy between retail and hospitality sectors in one area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHarris Hotel &amp; Convention Serpong will be the fifth hotel to add\nto Summarecon\u2019s hotel business portfolio. In line with the development\nof Summarecon Serpong Integrated City, the presence of this hotel\nsupports synergy with Summarecon Mall Serpong shopping centre,\u201d said\nAdrianto.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the hotel development aligns with the company\u2019s\nstrategy of building an economic ecosystem within the township. This\ngoes beyond relying solely on property sales but also includes long-term\noperational revenue.<\/p>\n<p>Summarecon Director Soegianto Nagaria stated that hospitality and\nconvention facilities are important infrastructure to support business\nactivities in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe presence of Harris Hotel &amp; Convention Serpong serves as\nsupporting infrastructure for business activities that will strengthen\nSummarecon Serpong\u2019s positioning as a Regional Hub, serving as a centre\nfor economic, business, and meeting activities serving the Serpong area\nand surrounding regions,\u201d said Soegianto.<\/p>\n<p>Soegianto noted that Summarecon Serpong has been developed since 2004\nas an integrated city combining residential, commercial, educational,\nand lifestyle facilities.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the maturity of the area\u2019s infrastructure drives\nthe need for hospitality facilities that can serve business activities,\nconferences, and MICE events (meetings, incentives, conventions,\nexhibitions).<\/p>\n<p>The hotel, managed in cooperation with global operator The Ascott\nLimited, features 282 rooms and extensive convention facilities,\nincluding a ballroom with capacity for up to 1,500 people, three\nadditional ballrooms, and 11 meeting rooms.<\/p>\n<p>The Ascott Limited Indonesia Country Director of Brand &amp;\nMarketing Irene Janti stated that the Harris brand expansion in Serpong\nreflects the growth potential of new urban areas in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe opening of Harris Hotel &amp; Convention Serpong demonstrates\nour confidence in Indonesia\u2019s dynamic growth, particularly in developing\nurban areas like Serpong,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Harris Hotel &amp; Convention Serpong General Manager Lut Abader\nadded that the hotel targets an occupancy rate of approximately 50% in\nthe first year of operation, with potential growth driven by business\nactivities and visits to the shopping centre in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe target occupancy of approximately 50% in the first year, but\nmarket indicators show quite strong demand in this area,\u201d said Lut.<\/p>\n<p>For comparison, the average occupancy rate for hotels in Summarecon\u2019s\ncurrent portfolio is around 71%.<\/p>\n<p>With a township development model combining mall, hotel, and\nconvention facilities, the company hopes to strengthen sources of\nrecurring revenue whilst driving economic activity in the increasingly\ndeveloping Serpong area.<\/p>",
