        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The marketing services agency Smesco Indonesia is\nencouraging micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to utilise\nartificial intelligence (AI) to support business development and\nincrease competitiveness amidst a changing business landscape.<\/p>\n<p>In a press statement from the Ministry of MSMEs in Jakarta on\nWednesday, the President Director of Smescan Indonesia, Doddy Akhmadsyah\nMatondang, stated that the ability to leverage technological\nadvancements is a vital component in strengthening the competitiveness\nand sustainability of MSMEs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMSMEs need to be adaptive to technological developments. AI can\nserve as one of the tools to support business development,\u201d said Doddy\nduring the Kick Off of the Smesco Incubation &amp; Acceleration Program\n(SIAP) 2026 in Jakarta on Tuesday (29\/9).<\/p>\n<p>One of the agendas within SIAP 2026 is a session with Google Gemini\nthrough the module \u201cScaling Up MSMEs with Gemini AI,\u201d which introduces\nthe use of AI to support various business development needs.<\/p>\n<p>According to Doddy, the transformation of MSMEs cannot rely solely on\nthe individual capabilities of business owners.<\/p>\n<p>Strengthening an ecosystem that connects technology, financing,\nmarket access, and business networks is also necessary so that MSMEs can\nscale their operations.<\/p>\n<p>SIAP 2026 is an incubation and acceleration programme aimed at\nstrengthening the business capacity and competitiveness of MSMEs through\ntraining, mentoring, capacity building, and business development\nevaluation.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to training, the programme also features introductory\nsessions on digital platforms, including Usahaku.ai, which provides\ntechnological solutions to support business management and\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n<p>Doddy expressed hope that participants would not only gain knowledge\nduring the programme but also be able to apply it in their business\nmanagement, ensuring MSMEs are increasingly prepared to expand their\nbusinesses and reach wider markets.<\/p>",
