        "content": "<p>Small-scale credit<\/p>\n<p>From Republika<\/p>\n<p>I am a small-scale businessman and I know how difficult it is<br>\nto obtain credit from either government banks or private banks.<br>\nMy application for credit has been repeatedly rejected for<br>\nunimportant reasons, despite the possibility that my project<br>\ncould be promising.<\/p>\n<p>But I felt relieved when I read a report in this paper (June<br>\n6, 1994) that HIPPI (Association of Indonesian Indigenous<br>\nEntrepreneurs) is willing to become a guarantor for small-scale<br>\nbusinessmen. In this relation I would like to give some<br>\nsuggestions:<\/p>\n<p>* HIPPI should establish representatives in the regions,<br>\nbecause the majority of small-scale businessmen live in the<br>\nregions.<\/p>\n<p>* HIPPI should be required to establish a commission or team<br>\nto conduct feasibility studies of the small-scale businessmen who<br>\nwish to obtain a credit.
