God has passed His punishment on this nation by making state
\nofficials and members of the political elite unable to work well
\nand honestly. They will do anything for their own personal gain,
\nso that the condition of the nation has gotten worse in many
\nrespects.<\/p>\n
To quote Sayid Qutub, \"Man who lives just for his own will
\nlives and also dies as a small-minded person. But man who lives
\nfor other people will live as an outstanding person and he will
\ndie as a great one, too.\"<\/p>\n
The wheel of the past rolls on into the present, the era of
\nreform and democracy. This struggle for reform will not succeed
\nif it is not carried out with the participation of all the
\npeople. Can the fact that the nation's life has been so
\ndisheartening be contemplated honestly and with some
\nintrospection? If this plight worsens, all of the officials who
\nmanipulate their authority for their own interests will surely be
\ncourting curses.<\/p>\n
Ponder God's promises in the Koran: \"If they don't leave
\nbehind their bad character and remain consistent on God's path,
\nthey will surely be unable to free themselves from misfortune.\"<\/p>\n
