Smailing Tour gets award<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The Asian Business Press Group, the publisher of
\nseveral travel magazines such as the Travel Trade Gazette, has
\nselected Smailing Tour as the best inbound tour operator in
\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n
Smailing Tour's President Rudy Akili said yesterday the Travel
\nAwards were conducted got travel-related companies during the
\nPATA Mart '95 in Sydney which ended on Sunday.<\/p>\n
\"The selection was made by a panel of judges which comprised
\nexecutives of hotels, airlines and several other travel-related
\ncompanies on the basis of performances in organizing the various
\ncomponents of package tours,\" Rudy added.<\/p>\n
He said his company handled 18,000 inbound tourists mostly
\nfrom Europe and 5,000 outbound tourists last year.<\/p>\n
Rudy added the award was a boon for his company to further
\nstep up its inbound tour promotion and to create new kinds of
\ntour programs.<\/p>\n
\"For example, we are now promoting exclusive tour programs for
\nresident expatriates in the country and are preparing package
\ntours for school children and students during the coming school
\nholidays in June and July,\" he said. (vin)<\/p>",
