Sleman to publish performance report<\/p>\n
YOGYAKARTA: The Sleman regency administration has made a
\nbreakthrough in upholding transparency and accountability as it
\nplans to publish performance reports of the administration in the
\nmass media.<\/p>\n
Regent Ibnu Subiyanto said earlier this week that the reports
\nto be published were the regency budget realization report, the
\nbalance sheet of payments and the cash flow financial reports.<\/p>\n
Speaking at a budget review meeting held here on Monday as
\npreparation for the publication of the reports, Ibnu said that
\nthe plan was to provide people, including potential investors,
\nassurance that transparency was upheld in Sleman's government.<\/p>\n
"With the published reports hopefully we will give them the
\nconfidence that it is safe to invest here," Ibnu said,
\nadding that three local newspapers with national circulation, and
\nan English daily had been chosen to publish the reports.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the same forum head of Sleman's Regional Treasury
\nand Financial Management Agency Nogati Sri Karyati said that the
\nYogyakarta office of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) had audited
