Six wounded during intervillage brawl<\/p>\n
PEMALANG, Central Java: Security forces firing into a mob
\nduring a fight between residents from two villages in Central
\nJava wounded six people.<\/p>\n
Hundreds of residents of the Sugihwaras and Widuri villages in
\nPemalang were involved in clashes on Saturday, and security
\npersonnel fired into the mob after warning shots were ignored.<\/p>\n
The attack by villagers from Sugihwaras also left one shop
\nburned and several houses damaged in the village of Widuri.<\/p>\n
The violence was the second outbreak of fighting between the
\ntwo villages after an earlier clash on Wednesday left dozens
\ninjured and at least 25 houses damaged.<\/p>\n
The fighting was allegedly sparked by rumors that a Sugihwaras
\nvillager had been mobbed to death by Widuri residents after a
\nroad accident. The man had actually died in the hospital from
