Six students injured in brawl<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Six students were injured in a brawl on Monday
\nnight in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, when students from two
\nprivate universities got into a dispute after a music concert, a
\npolice officer said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
City police spokesman Lt. Col. Zainuri Lubis said the brawl
\ntook place at around 8 p.m., when dozens of students from the
\nNational Institute of Science and Technology (ISTN) in Srengseng
\nSawah in South Jakarta went to a concert at the Dharma Persada
\nUniversity campus in Duren Sawit.<\/p>\n
\"The Dharma Persada students got offended and attacked the
\nstudents from ISTN when some of the visitors pelted stones at the
\ncampus,\" Lubis said.<\/p>\n
The brawl stopped only after nearby residents managed to drive
\naway fighting students and force student leaders from the two
\nuniversities to meet to settle the problem.<\/p>\n
\"There was a misunderstanding between the two groups of
\nstudents during an earlier concert on Sunday night,\" Lubis said.<\/p>\n
The wounded students, who were all from Dharma Persada
\nUniversity, were rushed to an Islamic hospital in Pondok Kopi but
\nwere discharged after being treated.<\/p>\n
\"None of the ISTN students were injured as they may have
\nprepared themselves for the attack,\" Lubis said.<\/p>\n
Lubis said no arrests were made from the brawl and the case
\nwas being investigated by East Jakarta Police. (emf)<\/p>",
